It's a little pricier than the normal restaurant but the quality of food and experience is matching.
I went with a 4 course meal and was very full after. No way I could manage the 5 course :-)
The staff were all very friendly. Even spoke English and all the staff where happy to talk through the food ingredients in each course. They made an effort to make the experience enjoyable from all the staff.
The bread was a favourite and tasted fresh made and very soft. Overall a wonderful experience and worth to go back again.
We (me and my wife) have been visiting Stresa restaurant for a couple of years and it has been always been a superb restaurant. It is really a top dining in Dresden.
We had our dinner yesterday. We had a starter, ceviche and carpaccio, the main food cod and hare plus deserts. Let me write a couple of remarks:
- The good: excellent food, excellent wine and above all the top staff, especially a waitress, the tall blonde; communicative, pleasant, definitely deserves a higher salary; she is making a lot for the restaurant. The hare excellent.
- The bad: I had a cod; I am afraid the fish was not fresh and the combination of a fish meat, red cabbage and red beetroot was very bizzare and overcombined. Beauty is in the simplicity, this was too much, two many elements on the plate. Beetroot killed the taste of the fish, which is too subtle. And the cabbage? Good for pork and dumplings, but forget about the fish.
Came with a date and had the regular and vegetarian five course meals (with wine pairings). This was our second time coming here. The experience was very relaxed (the entire meal took nearly 3 hours from start to finish), and the food was spectacular. The service was great, and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely be back!

We celebrated our 10th anniversary there, and the ambiance, stuff and food were just lovely. They even set up the table with little heart decoration and a long stem rose /flower decoration (as per my request).
The waiter was delightful and accommodating. Also helped us understand the menu.
The soup was interesting, main course was really good and the desert was excellent!
Would definitely go back for special occasion celebration. It is slightly expensive though.
Would recommend for a special date night
This restaurant should not accept reservations indoor when it is more than 30 degrees inside the restaurant. This is simply disrespectful and made the whole experience horrible. Out of respect for customers, it should be outlined that there is no A/C and windows are closed (we asked to open them). We feel robbed out of 100€.
